CLASS ACT South Africa's toughest screen audition.

A 13 part one hour reality series where we find and create a class act and launch their career as a film star. The series is launching on SABC1 March 13th 6:30pm.

Class Act is an Amstel lager initiative designed to locate men of distinction and reward their passion and commitment. Class Act is looking for the South African Denzel Washington, Will Smith or Wesley Snipes, a new Star of enduring quality.

In the first three episodes of Class Act we have the 'casting couch', featuring our film industry heavy weight judges, top casting agent Moonyeenn Lee, celebrity actor Rapulana Seiphemo , and top film producer Tendeka Matatu, will travel to Cape Town, Joburg and Durban in search of a star.

Aspiring actors will perform dramatic and entertaining monologues from famous films, hoping for a 'callback'. Three actors from each region will be invited to the Class Act Workshop in Johannesburg where they will be trained by South Africa's top acting coaches, directors, stunt co-coordinators and actors.

As the series progresses, they will compete by performing in scenes testing their ability to play a comedy scene, an action scene, a stunt scene, a love scene, a scene where they confront the villain and scenes where they confront each other.

Contestants will receive honest and ruthless feedback from the casting couch and the viewers at home will vote for one actor to 'hit the cutting room floor'.

This is a 13 part, highly entertaining, visually exciting reality series, featuring South Africa's most famous actors culminates with the launch of a new South African Star.
